The Pomsky Lady

Pomsky

Information on our process

We will set up a phone interview to discuss any questions you may have about us, the puppies, and our processes. We will also talk about what kind of home you can offer a puppy. We like to make sure our puppies go to homes that intend to care for our puppies, and give them lifetime homes.

If we both decide that we are a good fit for each other. You can then place a deposit on a puppy or to get on the waiting list if we have a litter coming soon. You will get a copy of our contract at time of deposit that you must sign and return. Please note no funds are exchanged before this phone interview. We will then do a a video chat. This way you can see our pomskies in our home that will be the parents of your off spring. If you're looking into a puppy already born you will see that one via video chat.

Our Process Continued.....

After we have done all the paperwork, deposit, and initial call. You will get to pick your puppy at four to five weeks old if you have not already. Then we will do video chats if you want to each week. We also will post videos if that is preferred method of video updates.

We discus plans to pick up or deliver your puppy. The remaining balance of the puppy is due before the puppy leaves our hands if being delivered or a pet nanny is being arranged. If you are picking up the dog at the airport (our airport) or our home you must pay in cash the remaining balance. No apps can be used last minute as they can be canceled.

We do all the work with the pet nanny if that is the option you decide upon.

The average cost of our pomskies are $2500. The range is $1500 to $3500

The puppies can go home at 8 weeks of age, that is the law. We cannot change the date of their availability to go home. They must go home, we cannot board them for you until you are ready unfortunately. So, if you buy a dog be ready to bring the dog home at 8 weeks old. During the 8th week we will finalize the pickup/delivery information. Understand, if you're needing a flight certificate they are only good for 10 days. So, if your date changes it can become void, and cost extra expenses. We need traveling arrangements confirmed before six weeks of age. If you're picking a puppy still available; understand delivery needs to be arranged. This means a vet appointment in the time frame of flight, the flight  certificate again is only good for 10 days. So, keep that in mind when making decisions on pickup/delivery.

They go home with their first set of shots and two deworming's. You get a welcome packet with what to expect, their records, vet examination, a copy of our contract. A list of feeding suggestions and food transitioning tips. A blanket that has their mothers scent on it. We also offer one free training session in the first six months.

We do deliveries as well.  No dog is shipped in Cargo, you can fly with your puppy though but we do not do cargo for safety up the puppies.

Protection Against Scams

As Pomskies took off; So, did scams. This goes both ways; there is just as many seller scams as there is buyers. Buyers will use paypal, Western Union, or fake links to gather banking information. We wanted to still be able to place puppies with prospects and both have an enjoyable experience. To do this we have put in place a few steps to protect everyone involved.

First, we will call you from our page, when you contact us. We may chat  with you from facebook or a social media platform but we will direct you here to read our page and content. Then we will set up a phone interview with you to be sure we can both work together. You may find we're not the breeder for you. You might want a dog sooner than we have them or etc.

Then once we've done a phone interview we will do a video chat with you! This is very important. First this number will be the same. Though we are a family and our adult children have moved out and are very much involved, one person does the communication just for this reason. So, the same number will call you and do a video chat of our dogs (parents), and then if you called about a specific puppy - we will show you the puppy live.

Then and only then will we accept a deposit from you. We do not take any funds without providing these two steps above.

No more funds will be due until you pick a puppy once they are 4-5 weeks old. If  you're meeting us in person at an airport  it will be cash at pick up then. If you need the dog delivered, you will pay the remaining balance by the time the dog is 7 weeks.

We will not open any links, we do not do any email purchases, we do not make calls from What's app or take them from whats app. We do not do google calls or use google numbers. We will not text purchases either. You may text to find out how the puppies doing etc but no deals or terms are ever made over text, nor funds taken before chatting with us. This is in place to protect us both.

Lastly, no one picks up a dog from us without confirming who they are, we check IDS to be sure the dog is being delivered to the proper person. Anyone, at an airport can say oh yeah, I am picking up a dog or etc. So, we ask for an ID to match the forms that  you fill out. We've never had this occur because we check IDs but it has happened to other breeders at a gas station. That would be awful for everyone involved. So, we're not trying to be difficult. We are just protecting the puppy and everyone involved.

If one needs extra precautions we're up to discuss those too. We hope this gives you the some ease. That being said if you go with anyone else that's fine too but we still recommend the above steps to be sure nothing is a scam.  * Always, do a phone video chat, not just a video of puppy sent to your text but an actual video chat before purchasing a puppy from anyone you don't see in person*

Pomsky vs Arctic Spitz

You will hear a lot of different breeders talk about the progression of the "Pomsky" as a breed.

Any dog that ever became a breed has to jump through some hoops to exist. At this time the AKC sets what those standards are to be recognized by the AKC.

There are many different breeders doing their own thing at this time, and or breeders who never wish to make the pomsky a breed and are breeding just hybrids. Each dog breed accepted by AKC and turned into a breed was once a hybrid mixed with other breeds. AKC says there must be 3 or more. So, we do understand other breeders trying to rush to do this, and why they are adding more breeds. That being said at this time we are not doing that. Now, if in the future we are to cross out and buy a stud that has a small percentage of another breed we do not discriminate as long as its under .5%. Otherwise, all the dogs here are produced by us and 100% pomskies unless stated otherwise.

To be sure that pomsky clients do not feel lied to or scammed we have separated the puppies. Some breeders call their pomskies ; Pomsky x which is an acceptable term as long as they are transparent about it to their clients.

You can see how all these clubs pushing for different things can be confusing for other breeders but also for clients who just want a pomsky.
